At Oak & Compass Senior Services, our mission is deeply personal. Founded by two women with a shared heart for serving seniors, our story begins with a simple promise — to guide families with compassion, integrity, and understanding through one of life’s most meaningful transitions.

🌴 Southwest Florida Division — Erica Carroll, LPN

Serving families throughout Southwest Florida, Erica Carroll leads with warmth, grace, and a deep commitment to helping seniors find the right place to call home.

A licensed practical nurse with over 15 years of experience caring for seniors, Erica’s career has been dedicated to improving the lives of older adults through every stage of care. Her experience spans from working in a clinical nursing role, where she used her medical background to help seniors transition safely to rehabilitation after hospitalization, to providing compassionate home-health support, and later serving as a Director of Nursing in Assisted Living.

This breadth of clinical and leadership experience gives Erica a unique perspective — combining hands-on medical understanding with deep empathy for families navigating complex decisions. Her patient, thoughtful approach helps families feel confident and cared for as they explore the best living and care options for their loved ones.

Whether guiding families in Naples, Cape Coral, or Fort Myers, Erica provides clarity and comfort — turning what can feel overwhelming into a journey grounded in trust, hope, and gentle direction.

“Every senior deserves a place where they feel safe, valued, and understood,” Erica shares. “Helping families find that peace of mind is truly my calling.”

🌳 Upstate South Carolina Division — Rachel McCardel, CDP

In Upstate South Carolina, Rachel McCardel brings both heart and expertise to the families she serves.

Rachel’s passion for serving seniors began early in her career, when she worked in a role focused on helping older adults transition safely to rehabilitation after hospitalization. During that time, she learned the intricate ins and outs of qualifications, insurance, and care coordination, developing a deep understanding of the systems that support aging adults.

After gaining that experience, Rachel transitioned into the Assisted Living world, where she discovered that what truly gave her purpose was the relationships — connecting with families, listening to their stories, and helping them find communities where their loved ones could thrive.

With a background in senior-living operations and community relations, Rachel has spent years helping families navigate the complexities of assisted living and memory care placement. Driven by empathy and guided by faith, she sees every placement as a story — a new chapter that deserves care and attention.

Her approach reflects Oak & Compass’s core philosophy: Strong Roots. Gentle Guidance. Rachel is dedicated to building trusted relationships, empowering families with information, and ensuring each transition feels purposeful and supported.
